  • The SDG.K12 Project, jointly initiated by the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) CIFAL Shanghai and Shanghai iMake Education, is an innovative program that integrates technology with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

    Designed for K–12 schools, teachers, and students across China, including Hong Kong and Macao, the project seeks to deepen young people’s engagement with the SDGs. It encourages them to develop self-awareness and a global outlook from an early age, nurture a sense of shared responsibility for safeguarding the Earth, and apply their knowledge and skills collaboratively to address global challenges—empowering them to become creative global citizens with an international perspective.

    UNITAR CIFAL Shanghai

    U. N. Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) was created in 1963 to train and equip young diplomats with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate through the diplomatic environment. UNITAR CIFAL Shanghai, as a member of UNITAR’s CIFAL Global Network, was co-founded by UNITAR and Regional Cooperation Office for City Information (RCOCI) in October 2006. It is a professional institution for consulting, researching, and training approved by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China. It provides learning and knowledge exchange opportunities concerning the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Goals and many other fields.
